Google Workspace (previously known as G Suite) is a powerful set of tools that will let you work more efficiently than ever before. The Workspace is one of my favorite shows. That's why I've put together this G Suite Guide to help newbies like you get up and running quickly.

What exactly is G Suite? How can you make use of Google's hand-crafted apps? These and many other topics will be answered in the G Suite tutorial. I'll also tell you what you should do before and after you start using Google Workspace.

Using G Suite has numerous advantages. You can send mass emails, for example, by combining Workspace's capabilities. Here's how to go about it:

Google Drive

Google Drive allows you to create, secure, and access files on the go. If you already have data in Google Drive, you can easily migrate it. The Drive version for Google Workspace has a variety of storage options. What makes it better than Google Drive's free version? 

Depending on your subscription, the corporate edition provides you with additional storage, support, and shared drives. Also remarkable is the 24-hour email and phone support.

Google Meet

Assist your team in remaining connected while communicating in a secure manner. To conduct your business on the go, Google apps are more than adequate. And Google Meet is a fantastic complement for smooth meetings.

All of your coworkers will be able to see all of the scheduled meetings, ensuring that none are missed. Google Meet may also be used to connect Skype for Business teams.  Additional attendees who don't even have access to G Suite can still attend your meetings.

You can communicate with your coworkers on notes, lists, photographs, and more using G Suite's Keep.

Apps Script in G Suite Guide

Google has done its best to bring everything you need for smart business under one roof. Apps Script is a part of this endeavor as well. It's a scripting platform for creating simple apps. As a result, you can create apps without ever leaving Google Workspace.

Apps Script has the advantage of allowing you to use Google Workspace APIs. Other Google services, such as YouTube, BigQuery, and others, can be integrated as well. If you're starting an app development company, this is a fantastic chance.

Each user on Google Workspace's Business Standard account costs $12 per month. It also includes all of the 'Starter' features, as well as meetings for up to 150 people and recordings. 2TB of cloud storage is also included.

G Suite Guide: How to Create a Google Workspace Account

It's as simple as opening a Google or Facebook account to set up a Google Workspace account. 'Get started' by hovering over the Workspace's homepage.

Fill in the name of your company, the number of employees, and your contact details. Google Workspace also inquires if you already have a domain name or wish to purchase one.

If you have one, you'll need to connect it, and G Suite will prompt. Then, for your Workspace, provide a login and password.

Proceed with your payments after reviewing your account information. An email confirmation from Google will be sent to you now. You're now ready to go.

3 Things to Do After You Signing Up for Google Workspace

After your 14-day free trial period expires, you may need to set up your Google Workspace page. To see the page, just go to your administration panel and click the more icon. And you'll need three things to complete the setup:

  • Check the validity of your domain: Google must verify that the domain is yours.
  • Toss in your teammates: It is not required, however, you must add users. Don't you think so?
  • Sort them into categories: For the sake of structure, divide your team members into groups.

Verify Your Domain Name

Google will guide you through the process of creating an account. When requested to confirm your domain name, enter the following information:
  • Login to your cPanel account.
  • To your website, add a "Meta" tag (optional)
  • Google's MX Records should be added.
The new DNS settings may take up to 24 hours to spread. The DNS entries were modified in half an hour in my case. Of course, this is subject to change. Set up your signature, profile photo, or logo in the meantime, and notify your subscribers about your new email (if it is).

Add Users to Your Workspace

Choose 'Email' from the options after selecting your domain name and opening the menu. To add users, go to 'Add or remove persons from Google Workspace.' Click 'Add' after selecting the role. This is how you invite your colleagues to join your G Suite account.

Create Groups on Workspace

Go to 'Groups' after logging into your G Suite account. Choose 'Create group' and give it a name. It would be useful to provide an explanation. If you like, you can also change the Group owner. After hitting the Next button, you must have created the group.
